The Maxim top 100 list is totally wack! The fact that they have Avirl Lavine ranked as hotter than Elisha Cuthbert makes me want to burn down their offices. As rediculous as the Maxim list is I have to honestly agree with their pick for the worlds hottest girl.

I hate that I have to praise Maxim for their good taste but it cannot be denied that Olivia Wilde is one of the hottest women on the planet. You may be able to argue that there are more beautiful women, but in terms of pure lust worthy good looks Olivia Wilde can duke it out with any one. If I were in a room with Olivia Wilde and Meagan Fox and magically able to bed either one, I would send Meagan out to pick up a sandwich and get to business with Olivia.

There are the amazing cars from Alfas to Astons, there are all the gadgets, the best of all the perennially charming fuck you super spy attitude that wins you the bed any women. The latest Bond installment Quantum of Solace should be called Quantum of Hotness in honor of this year’s new Bond Girl Olga Kurylenko .

Olga Kurylenko Was born in the Ukraine in 1979 to a Ukrainian father and a Russian mother. Olga got her break as a model when she discovered by a model scout in Moscow when she was only 13. By the time Olga was 17 she was modeling for Paris based Madison modeling agenc y and by the age of 18 she had already appeared on the covers of Vogue and Elle .

Olga has done since had a few small parts in mostly action movies, including the movie Hitman and recently in the Marky Mark flop called Max Paymne. Olga is an ethnic beauty with a sexual gravity that translates immediately to the silver screen. I just can’t wait to hear what kind of cheesy one liners our hero 007 will use to rid this cold war temptress of her soviet knickers. Looks like Bond Bond will be in his Martini’s for a White Russian, enjoy James , and we will all keep on wishing we were you.

Art, as they say imitates life. Most of us whether we want to admit it or not have done some really embarrassing things in order to impress a member of the opposite sex, especially in high school. Some of us played sports, some joined the yearbook committee, hell maybe some of jumped aboard with the Future Business Leaders of America. For all of us losers that had a droopy eye, a limp, or  were just plain awkward, there is an amazing little movie that may make you feel a bit better about that stint in the environmental club. Rocket Science . Write this down. Get a pen, and scribble down this little gem by Jeffrey Blitz. It is about a New Jersey kid, Hal Hefner, that suffers with a stutter who joins the debate team at the urging of a sly little minx who our hero on the bus. What ensues can only be described as fucking glorious. It tosses your ass in a time machine to when you were a hapless romantic kid fumbling all over yourself, but unlike your real life this leaves you feeling a better, and dare I say touched. The acting is first rate, the premise is hilarious, and it will give you more Emo street cred than all owning all the Mineral records on vinyl.

Today Monday August 25 was the opening day for the 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver. Living in Denver and being an Obama fan this week feels like living history. The climate is electric in Denver with dozens of media personalities and hundreds of police in riot gear, with supporters and protesters, pro-lifers and ultra Christians shouting out Bible passages it is unlike anything I have seen.

For many I think it is just an excuse to get in front of a camera with this cause or that, and for others (like myself) I think it is just to be part of the spectacle but people are flooding the streets in Denver. It is amazing to see people taking interest, whatever there motivation, and all I can think is that maybe our American Democracy with all its faults and flaws is not quite dead. More than anything I hope that this electric atmosphere and this media circus translate into record voting in November.
